As a Senior Analytical Chemist you'll support our research and development efforts focused on food and process sample analysis. You'll collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and validate analytical methods, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. This role is crucial for improving quality control methodologies and advancing our projects.Responsibilities:Develop and validate analytical methods for analyzing compounds such as fibers, proteins, and fatsConduct experiments and analyze ingredient samples using techniques like HPLC, NIR, titration, selective extraction, and NMRFacilitate discussions with peers to interpret data and provide insightsTroubleshoot and resolve analytical issues to improve methods and processesEnsure team compliance with safety protocols and laboratory standards, including lab management and supply ordersOversee the Quality Control for the production with our CMOEstablish and maintain internal Quality Control procedures to ensure product quality through internal and external analysisSupport any legal processes, such as FDA approvalsProvide measurements and documentation crucial to our growth strategyEnable the Analytical Chemistry Intern to grow and flourish​​Offer in-depth scientific support and conduct literature reviews, e.g., antioxidant screening and enzyme activity monitoring

Descrizione del candidato

Master's degree or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related field, with a few years of relevant work experienceExpertise in analytical techniques such as NMR, FTNIR, HPLC, colorimetric assays, GCMS, protein analysis, and microbiologyProficiency in analytical techniques for quantification and characterization of chemical components (proximate analysis, protein/polysaccharide/lipid characterization, microbial safety, trace elements)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsMeticulous attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficientlyProactive and entrepreneurial attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changeExcellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying results and conclusions to peers, junior scientists, and non-scientists alikeLeadership skills and enthusiasm for developing othersComputer skills: data analysis, Excel, coding, and macros—valuable for automating analytical processes​You are a great candidate for this position if you:Are passionate about working in a fast-paced research environment focused on food chemistryHave expertise in analytical chemistry with a specialization in food chemistry and are eager to apply your knowledge in a hands-on settingCan efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environmentEnjoy diverse responsibilities, including approximately 30% lab work, 30% external collaboration (FDA/EFSA, regulatory consultants), and 30% internal collaborationAre proactive in identifying challenges and developing creative solutionsExcel both independently and as part of a collaborative team​Are enthusiastic about learning, growing in the field of food chemistry, and contributing to innovative product development
